A Moment of Brightness

I threw out my tube of toothpaste this morning. It was mostly empty and it had tasted funny the whole time I used it.

I meant to buy another tube today. I ran out of time. (If you see my Monday could you send it back to me? There’s 8 hours I think I still need)

I went to brush my teeth, and I realized I hadn’t bought more

The hotel maid must have seen the empty tube in the garbage can. There was a sealed tube on the counter.

Every time someone tells me the world is a horrible place: filled with people out to get you, I think of moments like this and I cannot help but disagree. It wasn’t her job to backstop a traveller who forgot to stock up. She did it all the same.

The world is so much better, so much kinder and so much more wonderful because of such small things

What an awesome bright spot in your day! And kudos to the housekeeping staff that went out of her way to do that.
