Blue Monday

Traditionally, today is called blue Monday. You know, the day we all go back to work, to school, and the holiday’s are over (except for the bills).

I don’t know about you, but I’m not completely willing to let the holidays go. At least not yet. I’m not ready for the new year to start.

My problem is simple, the holidays are such a time of expectations – some reasonable, some not. (For example, once again, Mrs. Spit did not get the pony she has been asking for, for oh, about 25 years. I’m also still waiting for a baby brother too).

So, I propose prolonging it, one day.

Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, and tell us something you are looking forward to in the New Year.

It doesn’t have to be long, it doesn’t have to be witty, just something you are looking forward to.

I don’t want the holidays to be over either – I have a green and red handknit blanket upstairs still waiting to be bundled with a baby. I think you know what I would like this New Year 😉

Hmm, the New Year. I think I am looking forward to a bit more order and less chaos. We’ve been busy since October and FINALLY there is nothing on the horizon. Also, my friend is having a baby today so I am looking forward to that!

I am looking forward to my 25th anniversary in July. : ) Not sure what we are doing to celebrate (especially since we have my parents’ 50th anniversary party to organize & attend, about two weeks later…!), but I’m looking forward to it nevertheless.

  4. Trish says:

    I like Julie’s answer.

Also: When I win the lottery. (What? I’m doing the whole “The Secret” thing. If you make fun of me, I won’t share with you.)

I am looking forward to this year bringing the end of the road. I’m not going to even wish that it is the happy ending, just an ending.

Although a weiner dog is on my list also.

I would like to share that I am holding the goals, hopes, and dreams of others like you and Mr.Spit and some other friends and adding them to my list to become a reality in 2010.

Also, I do NEED to clean up and spice up my blog, pronto! Inspired by you, of course.
