I talk to him when I’m lonesome like; and I’m sure he understands. When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat. For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that.

(The world’s greatest cobbler tells me that the shoe is not fixable, “too badly damaged” he said.)
oh dear – perhaps you should put your shoes away!!! 😉
Sigh. Poor shoes. But, now you have an excuse to visit zappos.com or 6pm.com, while your friend sits contritely at your feet. 🙂
Then he is obviously not the world’s greatest cobbler.
Sigh. At least dogs are worth the trouble, right?
Ahhh, I am sorry for the loss of your shoes. My dog is not a chewer, but a barker and devoted people-food stalker, among other vices. It never ceases to amaze me that a creature so innocent, so pure-hearted, and so adorable can drive me so insane sometimes.
And that’s coming from someone with a toddler.
Oh the poor shoes:(
rest in pieces shoes.
Small sacrifice (I hope!) for such a loving companion.
They will be missed.
Just keep Maggie away from the shoes …
